Sports Therapy Background
Sophie graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2013 with a BSc (Hons) in Sports and Exercise Therapy. She is Highly qualified and has now had her own successful business for over 3 years
During her time at university she worked at the Leeds Met Injury Clinic where she was able to develop her skills as a sports therapist and masseur. She has completed work experience as a sports masseur over an extended period with Leeds Rhinos, a professional rugby league team working with professional athletes including international players.
Being involved in sport from a young age and having been injured, has shown Sophie the importance of sports massage and sports rehabilitation in the prevention and treatment of injuries and has inspired her to set up her own sports massage and rehabilitation business.
Sophie combines her intuitive attributes with professional skills to create individually tailored treatments for each client. She will always provide the client with the best treatment possible and work to their requirements.
Sophie carries the necessary insurances required to practice and is a member of the Society of Sports Therapists.
A competitive triathlete for the last three years Sophie has now represented GB at the European Age Group championships. She is still developing as a triathlete following a long period of competitive swimming both locally and across the country.
Sophie’s race distances of choice are the Sprint and Standard Distances, but she will hopefully be taking part in a Half Ironman distance race towards the end of 2018.
With experience in some of the UKs biggest Triathlons, racing abroad and competing at many local events she can help athletes of all levels and experiences to realise their potential whatever the target event may be.
Combining Sophie’s Triathlon experience with her Sports Therapy background allows her to provide structured programs that push the clients to achieving their full potential whilst understanding the physical limits thus preventing and managing the injuries and physical stresses from which an athlete can suffer.
